It is your responsibility to ensure that the end user of the certified copy of a document will accept the copy.

What we can certify:
- Australian original documents.
- Foreign original documents for use in Australia.

What we cannot certify:
- Foreign documents for use outside of Australia.
- Laminated or framed documents.

You should check with the requesting authorities to confirm the required service (apostille or authentication). The Consulate staff cannot advise clients of foreign requirements.

Apostilles and Authentications 海牙认证和认证

Property/mortgage documents (excluding WA documents) 物业买卖、按揭文件（不含西澳）

Thursday afternoons only.

This service is for Tasmanian or Western Australia Statutory declarations.

What to bring:
- Your completed UNSIGNED declaration
- Proof of identity (Passport, ID)

What we cannot do:
- Witnessing foreign declarations
- Witnessing declarations that are not in the correct format
- Witness declarations to be used outside of Australia
- Provide advice on the requirement of your document.

Tasmania/WA Statutory Declaration 塔斯马尼亚/西澳法定声明 (领馆无法见证签署南澳法定声明)

Thursday afternoons only.

The Consulate does not renew driver's licences.  The Australian Consulate-General can witness signatures on Driver's licence renewal forms.

You will need to contact the relevant State Government Licence issuing Authority in Australia to obtain the necessary forms to renew your licence while residing overseas, which may need to be witnessed by a Consular Officer.

Used to demonstrate an individual's current and previous Australian passports. Issued in Chinese and English.

Thursday afternoons only.  This service is for Western Australia Transfer of Land only.

WA - Transfer of Land 西澳物业买卖、按揭文件

This document is drawn up from a declaration made by the Australian citizen and confirms there is no impediment to marriage between the Australian and Chinese citizen. The applicant should produce original identification for both parties intending to be married. If either party has been married previously, original divorce certificates must be produced upon application for a CNI. The certificate is issued in English only.

An affidavit is a written statement that allows the person making it to present evidence in court or other legal proceedings. The person making the affidavit must take an oath or make an affirmation that the contents of the affidavit are true and correct.

Power of attorney is a formal document giving another person the authority to make legally binding decisions on your behalf.

What to bring;
- Your completed UNSIGNED document
- Instructions from your lawyer/solicitor (if applicable)
- Passport or photo ID

**16 and 17 year old children ARE REQUIRED to attend the appointment along with a parent. Children under 16 do not need to attend.**
